Autumn tips to avoiding dry skin
When Fall approaches; remember to replace gel or lotion-based moisturizers you may have used during summer months with a moisturizer that is cream-based product which locks moisture into the skin. Around this time of year, you should introduce your skin to a lighter SPF. Another great way to help your skin retain moisture is to drink eight or ten 8-16 ounce glasses of water per day. 90% of our bodies are made up of water and calls to be replenished on a daily basis.
TRANSPORTATION
Get rid of dust on the car dashboard
An easy time-saver is to keep a swiffer/duster in your glove compartment in your vehicle, and use it regularly to dust your dashboard and console in your vehicle. Cuts down on the number of times you need to deep clean your vehicle!!
HOUSEHOLD
Best way to wash windows
Put 1 tablespoon of ammonia and 1 tablespoon of dishwasher soap into a bucket of water. Wash windows with this mixture with a soft brush. Then with a squeegee wipe off the windows. You will now have really clean windows.
COOKING
Make a healthy and tasty pizza crust
When making a homemade pizza crust, instead of using white flour, use 1 part whole wheat flour to 2 parts white flour. This results in a dough that is not too grainy but at least somewhat healthier than using only white flour. If you use 1 part wheat to 1 part white flour, or even more percentage of wheat, the dough will taste grainy. My tip allows you to have the same great taste that you get from white flour, but healthier!
BEAUTY
Avoid tired looking eyes
For tired/dried eyes, soak cotton pads in rose water and place them on your eyes. Keep your eyelids closed for 15 to 20 minutes. You will feel refreshed immediately!
COOKING
Natural meat tenderizer
Vinegar! Regular white works and cooks out so you don’t taste it. But other vinegars give it added flavor. Add 1/4 cup per pound of meat at the start of cook time (works best in the oven or on low on the stove). If you are grilling-simply cut the vinegar in half and add it to your marinade.
RECREATION
An easy way to mark your page
Simply cut the corner off an old envelope and place it over the corner of your book page. It won’t fall out like a bookmark sometimes does and you’ll never lose your page!
